Many people already run their trucks and cars on Biodiesel. Vegetable Oil is less toxic than Ethanol. Mileage, embodied energy, and other factors score better than any other fuel that is commonly & currently available at pumps. Climate is a factor since Diesel doesnt do well in the cold.

Both Ethanol and Vegetable Oil can be grown from plants organically if the people can continue to demand these changes to Corporate and Governmental policy & production!!

    Biodiesel reduces emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) by approximately 50% and carbon dioxide by 78% on a net lifecycle basis because the carbon in biodiesel emissions is recycled from carbon that was in the atmosphere, rather than the carbon introduced from petroleum that was sequestered in the earth’s crust. However, it does produce more NOx emissions than standard diesel fuel. (Sheehan, 1998)

    Yes. Priority #1: Catch up to the 21st Century we live in and realize we need many changes in environmental awareness and actions in the corporate energy world that are long overdue.

    So why can’t we priorietize? Especially when we do not honestly know if the overall effect of biofuels will not be worse than oil and coal combined

    The main reason for this is that federal studies do not include soil emmisions, fertilizer emmisions, and deforestation emmisions
    These factors could replace the modest emmisions reductions with gigantic emmision increases.

    Exactly, & while no system is perfect we must encourage Hybrid, Ethanol, Vegetable Oil, Electric, & other alternatives because we need to use them all. We cannot be dependant on any single fuel, especially Petro-Crude Oil that is not renewable enough.

    I dont know what to say about vegitable oil fueling our cars and . What I do know is that the stuff we have right now is eatting holes in my pocket and I along with something billion other people would like to fix this problem somehow.
